Cable Channel Doubles Down on ‘Sex’ Shows

A cable channel that has been airing one “Sex” show for two seasons is adding another one. TMZ.com reports that TLC is working on “All About Sex,” which will star comedians Heather McDonald and Margaret Cho.

The project comes after McDonald, who was a fixture on E!’s “Chelsea Lately,” was reportedly blindsided by Chelsea Handler’s move to Netflix.

The new TLC show will air on Saturday nights, leading out from the network’s “Sex Sent Me to the ER,” which wrapped up its second season in November. That show re-enacts real-life accidents that reportedly have occurred during sex.

“We’re told their show will bust on the show airing before it … ‘Sex Sent Me to the ER,'” TMZ reports.

The TMZ report adds: “Our sources say McDonald was relieved to land the gig after she was given ZERO heads up from Handler that [the E! show] was ending. TLC has yet to announce the new show, but we’re told it will premiere in January.”
