NAACP Image Awards Nominations Unveiled

An ABC comedy and drama and a Netflix series topped the TV categories when the nominees for the 46th annual NAACP Image Awards were unveiled Tuesday.

Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black” and ABC’s newcomer “black-ish” and “Scandal” each received six nominations, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with the Netflix series and “black-ish” set to compete for best comedy series, best comedy actress and best comedy supporting actress.

The list of best comedy series nominations also includes “House of Lies,” “Key & Peele” and “Real Husbands of Hollywood.” ABC dominated the best drama series category with nominations for its “Scandal,” “How to Get Away With Murder” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” which will compete against BET’s “Being Mary Jane” and Netflix’s “House of Cards.
