New Deal Sends ‘MythBusters,’ ‘Deadliest Catch’ and Other Discovery Programming to Online Service

A new pact signed by Discovery Communications will place content including “MythBusters,” “Say Yes to the Dress” and “Deadliest Catch” on the streaming service Hulu. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the deal is the first long-form content partnership between Discovery and Hulu.

Hulu Plus will now have exclusive subscription video-on-demand rights to “Deadliest Catch,” THR reports.

The deal starts Jan. 1. Other shows coming to Hulu Plus include “The Little Couple” and “Treehouse Masters.”

The deal covers programs from Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, Science and others.
