A new docuseries in the works for cable will take a look at telenovelas and the established and rising talent in the genre, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.

The series, in development at WE tv, will be set in Miami and will track Latina actresses who work in the field. Called “The Real Women of Telenovelas,” the docuseries will take a look at their lives both on-screen and off.

“The world of telenovelas has everything we look for in a WE tv show — compelling characters, conflict, consequence and comic relief,” said WE tv President Marc Juris.
