The Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) has elected a new board chair.

According to CTAM, Mark Greatrex, the senior vice president and chief marketing and sales officer for Cox Communications has been elected to “a two-year term as chair of the Board.  Greatrex has served on the CTAM and MSO co-op boards for nearly four years.  He’s played an integral role in building CTAM as an essential industry organization, representing 80 member companies, including all top-tier cable companies and content providers.

” ‘Foremost, Mark has a keen understanding of both the challenges and opportunities facing the cable industry,’ said John Lansing, president and CEO, CTAM.  ‘His unique background in managing strategic national marketing initiatives, coupled with his proven success as head of marketing across the entire Cox enterprise, makes him the ideal person to lead the CTAM board.’

“Also relevant to his new role, Greatrex developed his strong consumer marketing orientation at companies such as Unilever and Coca-Cola, and built his digital services background at AOL Inc.  Since joining Cox Communications four years ago, he has led a marketing and sales transformation, helping pivot the company to an even more consumer-centric approach.”
