A new report tracks the most popular filming locations in Los Angeles, with the L.A. Times reporting that No. 1 on the list is Griffith Park.
The report is based on a review of data from FilmL.A. Inc., which handles shooting permits for productions filming in the city and county of Los Angeles.
The park chalked up 322 production days in 2014, followed by the former Herald-Examiner building on South Broadway, with 232 days.
“Another popular downtown film location is the area under the 6th Street Bridge,” the Times reports. “The location generated 86 production days last year for such TV shows as the long-running CBS crime drama ‘Criminal Minds,’ El Rey’s ‘Matador’ and the Fox series ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine.'”
Also on the list of popular sites: the Los Angeles Times building, Elysian Park, Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Will Rogers State Beach, LAX, Dockweiler Beach and the Los Angeles Theatre.
