Show That Was Canceled by CBS — Twice — Appears to Have More Life Left in It

Feb 9, 2015  •  Post A Comment

A drama series that has already come back to life once is poised for yet another resurrection. Writing on Deadline.com, our friend Nellie Andreeva reports that A&E is putting the finishing touches on a deal to pick up “Unforgettable.”

The deal would bring the Sony procedural to the cable channel for a 13-episode fourth season, launching later this year.

“Unlike the first time the series was canceled and then un-canceled by CBS, the options on the cast had expired, so new deals had to be made with everyone on the show,” Andreeva writes. “Stars Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh are both expected to be back, reprising their roles as Carrie Wells, who has an extremely rare condition in which her brain recalls detailed events by date, and her ex-boyfriend/partner, NYPD’s Al Burns.”

Show creators John Bellucci and Ed Redlich will remain involved as exec producers, along with Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly, Andreeva notes.

  1. Really? They cancel Longmire and pick up this mediocre drama?!

    • LONGMIRE was cancelled not for low ratings but because it’s so expensive to produce that they were losing money on it. UNFORGETTABLE has a much lower price tag.

  2. Any indication if Jane Curtin will return as well?

  3. I agree that Longmire was too expensive to produce but CBS wants to put Unforgettable in syndication and they needed the episodes.
