Iran-Contra Figure to Host Military-Themed TV Series

A former Marine Corps lieutenant colonel who made a name for himself during the Iran-Contra scandal of the 1980s is taking over as host of the military-themed series “Saving Private K-9,” which airs on the Sportsman Channel.

The channel announced that Oliver North will be center stage when season two premieres Thursday, April 23. Since gaining a high profile during Iran-Contra, North has been a political commentator and a best-selling author, and has hosted Fox News Channel’s “War Stories with Oliver North.”

The show’s original host was R. Lee Ermey.

  2. Oliver North served in Vietnam and was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star with combat V for valor and, wounded twice, received two Purple Hearts. Additionally, the Marine Commendation Medal with Combat V and two stars, the Combat Action Ribbon, and several other awards for gallantry.He is an Airborne trooper serving his Country for 22 years.
    Now, what have you ever done Jsm 1963? Ever even been in combat? It must be sad to see everything through a political lens and attempt to run down better men than you.
