A popular sitcom from a few decades ago is suddenly getting a lot of attention. On the heels of the announcement that Netflix is working on a “Full House” sequel, as we reported last week, Deadline.com reports that Lifetime is working on “The Unauthorized Full House Story.”

Lifetime’s “Full House” project follows “The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story,” which premiered last fall on Lifetime. Ron McGee, who also worked on the “Saved by the Bell” project, will write the script for “Unauthorized Full House.”

“Full House” ran for eight seasons on ABC, from 1987-1995.

Netflix’s sequel, “Fuller House,” has a 13-episode order and is due in 2016.
