A beloved comedy series that went off the air 20 years ago is set to make a high-profile return. Netflix today announced plans for a new series that will reunite the gang from “Full House.”

The new 13-episode multicamera sequel, “Fuller House,” will bring back original cast members including Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, along with John Stamos, who will produce and reprise his role as Uncle Jesse in guest appearances.

Talks are ongoing with other original cast members including Bob Saget and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen about possible guest spots on the new show.

The original aired for eight seasons on ABC, from 1987-1995.

  1. This is the daring original programming that Netflix believes will drive more subscribers? Regurgitating old network programming? This is very disappointing if this will be the future direction of their “original” programming.
