Pay cable channel HBO is developing a new comedy series. Writing on Deadline.com, Nellie Andreeva reports that HBO is working on “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” based on the novel of the same name by David Shafer.

Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment is executive producing.

“‘Chuck’ alum Zev Borow will write and executive produce the adaptation, a half-hour comedy about three young adults grappling with the usual thirty-something problems — boredom, authenticity, and omnipotent online oligarchy,” Andreeva writes. “Shafer will serve as a co-executive producer.”
