As authorities continue to search for two killers who escaped June 6 from the maximum-security Clinton Correctional Facility in New York state, Investigation Discovery announced Tuesday that it’s joining in the manhunt.

The one-hour special “Prison Break: Killers on the Run,” part of the channel’s “instamentary” series “Front Page,” is set to premiere Thursday, June 18, at 9 p.m. (8 p.m. Central). The program will examine the history of escapees Richard Matt and David Sweat, details of the breakout and an update on their possible whereabouts.

Said Henry Schleiff, group president for Discovery Communications: “We encourage convicts Matt and Sweat to watch ‘Prison Break: Killers on the Run’ and turn themselves in to authorities peacefully. As our documentary shows, the noose is tightening and you will be found.”
