ABC Has Its New Hosts Lined Up for ‘The View’ — Network in Final Talks With Two TV Personalities

ABC appears to have settled on the new-look lineup for its daytime talk staple “The View.”

Variety reports exclusively that the network “is in final negotiations to add Candace Cameron Bure and ‘GMA Weekend’ anchor Paula Faris as co-hosts of the daytime talk show in the fall.

If the talks are successfull, Cameron Bure and Faris would join moderator Whoopi Goldberg along with co-hosts Raven Symone and Michelle Collins as the lineup for season 19.

Both Cameron Bure and Faris have filled in on “The View” in the past. ABC wasn’t commenting on the situation.

“According to a source, Faris’ deal would feature her on ‘The View’ Monday through Thursday, and she would take Fridays off so she could juggle her second gig as the co-anchor of ‘GMA Weekend,'” Variety notes.

Cameron Bure’s situation creates its own logistical challenges. “There are still details that need to be ironed out, because she’s starring in the Netflix ‘Full House’ spinoff ‘Fuller House,’ which shoots through November in Los Angeles while ‘The View’ tapes in New York,” the Variety report notes.

Cameron Bure, who played eldest daughter D.J. Tanner as a child actress on “Full House,” is “being courted for the show’s Republican seat,” Variety adds.

The show has also just named Sarah de la O as its first female director, as we reported Thursday.

  1. I think it is a big mistake to replace Nicole Wallace. She is very bright, interesting and articulate. Why would you fire her?

  2. That show is a disaster now. Boring. Blah. Cancel it already.
