HBO will be bringing back one of its original series. The pay-cable channel has ordered a second season of the comedy “The Brink,” Deadline.com reports.

Created by brothers Roberto Benabib and Kim Benabib, the freshman series stars Jack Black and Tim Robbins. Season one, which bowed June 21, focuses on a geopolitical crisis in Pakistan. Robbins plays the U.S. Secretary of State with Black in the role of a low-level Foreign Service officer.

The show also features Pablo Schreiber as a Navy fighter pilot. Jerry Weintraub, who died two weeks ago at 77, was an executive producer on the series.

The most recent episode of “The Brink” reportedly delivered a 0.4 average rating in adults 18-49 with 1.06 million viewers in Live+Same Day, ticking up from previous installments.
