Aug 24, 2015  •  Post A Comment

An on-air personality at ESPN who has been seen regularly on “SportsCenter” has signed a deal to remain with the sports network. Jay Crawford will continue his role as “SportsCenter” anchor as part of the multiyear extension.

Crawford, who joined ESPN in 2003, will also continue to host “SportsCenter on the Road” at major events. He is currently appearing in that role at the Little League World Series.

Said Crawford: “I am thrilled to be staying at ESPN for several more years — if they are as fun and rewarding as the first 12 years, I’m in for a great treat! ESPN is the premiere destination for sports fans and I consider it both a great honor and privilege to continue to live my dream every day.”

Crawford has been co-anchor of the midday installment of “SportsCenter” since July 2012.

Rob King, Senior Vice President, “SportsCenter” and News, commented: “This is a very happy day for ‘SportsCenter.’ Jay’s love for sports and his passion for engaging sports fans shine through every show he does.”
