She’s won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe – both for the same feature film role – and now she’s headed for a limited series on TV.

“Anne Hathaway has signed on to star in the limited series ‘The Ambassador’s Wife,’ from Entertainment One and the Mark Gordon Co.,” reports Cynthia Littleton in Variety.

The story continues, “Project is based on the newly released novel by author Jennifer Steil about a British woman who is kidnapped in Yemen, setting off an ordeal for her and her ambassador husband.”

Littleton notes that no network is yet attached to the project and “There’s no word yet about a writer for the TV adaptation. Hathaway will also serve as a producer on the series.”

Hathaway won the Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in the 2012 feature film version of the hit stage musical “Les Miserables.”
