A legendary musician has had a health scare that sent him to the hospital. USA Today reports that Quincy Jones was hospitalized in Los Angeles after suffering from shortness of breath late Thursday.
The 82-year-old Jones later let his fans know he’s OK, tweeting: “Had a little shortness of breath, but all is good. Still much to do. God Bless.”
A spokesman for the musician confirmed that he is fine and said he did not experience chest pains, as had been reported, the story notes.
“Jones, regarded as a genius music producer [who] helped make such artists as Michael Jackson stars, ranks second in most Grammys won: 27,” USA Today notes. “He also has a humanitarian Oscar and seven nominations for film music scores and songs, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.”
