Oprah’s OWN Has Its Biggest Night in History

Oprah Winfrey’s OWN cable network had a record-breaking night this week, when the network aired back-to-back programs that delivered big audiences. OWN reported that the season finale of “The Haves and the Have Nots” and the season premiere of “If Loving You Is Wrong” combined to make Tuesday the most-watched night in OWN’s history.

Airing at 9 p.m., the season finale of the drama series “The Haves and the Have Nots” delivered 3.7 million viewers to rank as the most-watched telecast of all time for OWN. At 10 p.m., the season premiere of “If Loving You Is Wrong” delivered 2.9 million total viewers. Both programs are from Tyler Perry.

The two program’s were the top 2 cable telecasts of the night in women 25-54, the network said. “Haves” pulled a 3.1 rating in the demo, followed by “Loving” with a 2.6. The network cites Nielsen figures.

“Haves” was also the night’s No. 1 cable program in total viewers, OWN said.
