Fox sent a signal to one of its shows that it intends to keep the series around for a while. The show is “Bob’s Burgers,” which received a renewal for seasons seven and eight.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the animated sitcom, which won an Emmy for outstanding animated comedy in 2014, has been a “reliable performer” as the opener for Fox’s Sunday comedy programming.

“The renewal means ‘Bob’s’ and ‘The Simpsons’ will likely be paired for the next two broadcast seasons as the latter was also handed out a two-season renewal recently,” THR reports, noting that animated shows generally get early renewals because of their extended production cycles.

“Bob’s Burgers,” from 20th Century Fox TV, was created by Loren Bouchard and Bento Box Entertainment.
