A man who became a local celebrity through his appearances on “The Howard Stern Show” has died. The AP reports that Pennsylvania resident Jack Rushman, known as “Hillbilly Jack,” died Saturday in a fire that started after he fell asleep while cooking.

“Rushman, 55, was a member of the Wack Pack — a group of outrageous personalities who called or appeared on Stern’s show,” the AP notes.

The report adds: “Rushman died of thermal and inhalation injuries from the fire, which has been ruled accidental, Beaver County coroner Teri Tatalovich-Rossi said Monday.”
