Fox Ordered to Remove Billboards Promoting New TV Show

Dec 17, 2015  •  Post A Comment

Fox was told to pull some marketing billboards after people who saw the promotion complained that it is inappropriate.

EW.com reports that the ads for the upcoming sitcom “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” generated complaints particularly at the downtown L.A. Live entertainment complex.

“In addition, ‘Cooper Barrett’ billboards were also taken down or replaced in Houston, Minneapolis and Atlanta,” the report notes.

The ads, which include the slogan “Maturity not included,” feature a graffiti-style stick figure drawn onto a light switch, with the switch itself positioned near the crotch of the stick figure.

Here’s a teaser for the show, which premieres Jan. 3.

  1. Would be nice to link to a shot of the “offensive” billboard so we can judge for ourselves.
