The viewing audience was down for CBS’s broadcast Monday of the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.

“In time-zone adjusted ratings, last night’s live on both coasts Grammys drew 24.95 million viewers and a 7.7 rating among adults 18-49,” Deadline.com reports. “That’s a drop of 9.4% from last year to the lowest demo Grammy result since 2009.”

Total viewers were down slightly from last year, dipping 1.4%, but it was also the worst number since 2009, when the show attracted 19.04 million total viewers.

  1. It was the last night of a holiday weekend and I’d bet that a permanent Thursday night event for the GRAMMYs would ALWAYS add to the already good numbers for a night
