Media Consulting Firm Names New President

A media management consulting and executive search firm known for its work with CNN, A+E Networks and other major clients has appointed a new president. Sucherman Group today announced the promotion of Jamie Waldron to the post.

Erik Sorenson, CEO of Sucherman Group, and Stuart Sucherman, Founder and Chairman, made the announcement.

Waldron, based in the company’s Los Angeles office, oversees the company’s executive search practice. He will continue to report to Sorenson.

Said Sorenson: “Jamie has been a big boost to our business. He has added clients, grown revenues and improved the search product we deliver.”

Sucherman added: “Jamie has emerged as a real partner to Erik and me, embracing and promoting our values throughout everything he does. He has deep roots in the Hollywood community and we’re thrilled that he’s managing our business there.”

Sorenson also announced the promotion of Rich Tackenberg to Managing Director, Executive Search. Tackenberg will report to Waldron and assist him in managing the recruiting and placement process at Sucherman Group.

Sucherman Group notes in its announcement that it is the leading boutique consulting and executive search firm for the media and entertainment space. In addition to CNN and A+E networks, its consulting clients include Univision Digital, Fusion, Turner Broadcasting, Showtime and Viacom.
