A longtime executive at The Walt Disney Co. is leaving the company. The Los Angeles Times reports that Leslie Ferraro, co-chair of the company’s newly created consumer products and interactive media unit, is moving on.

“Burbank-based Disney said Monday that James Pitaro, who had served as co-chair of the division alongside Ferraro, would become its chairman effective immediately,” the Times reports.

Ferraro, who spent 17 years working at Disney, became president of Disney Consumer Products last May. “The unit merged with the interactive division in June and Ferraro and Pitaro, who previously headed the interactive business, then became co-heads of the enlarged group,” the Times notes.

Disney said Ferraro will “pursue marketing and consumer engagement projects, with Disney as her first client.”
