With the final episode of PBS Masterpiece’s beloved period drama “Downton Abbey” set to air this Sunday, hardcore fans of the show face the unthinkable reality of life beyond the acclaimed series. But a new report indicates there may be hope.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the producers have talked about a “Downton Abbey” movie. So far it has just been talk, but the report notes that cast members, who would have to agree to come back to make the movie a reality, appear to be on board.

The report notes that the idea was suggested last summer at a press conference. Actress Joanne Froggatt, who plays Anna on the show, said at the time: “If the planets align, it will happen. The difficulty will be people going off to different projects and getting everyone back together at a time when everyone is available.”

Added Laura Carmichael, who plays Lady Edith: “It doesn’t fill anyone with dread; we really do love working on the show. But we wouldn’t want to do something half-assed.”
