Jury Reaches a Verdict in the Hulk Hogan Lawsuit

Mar 18, 2016  •  Post A Comment

“The jury in Hulk Hogan’s invasion of privacy suit against Gawker Media awarded the ex-wrestler $115 million Friday,” CNN reports.

As we previously reported about a New York Times story, “The wrestler Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, [was] demanding a $100 million settlement from Gawker, the news website, over an excerpt from a video it published, of Mr. Bollea having sex with the wife of a friend, a radio shock jock known as Bubba the Love Sponge.”

Hogan — or Bollea — [was] accusing Gawker of violating his privacy, and his argument makes a distinction between when he is Bollea, the private citizen, and when he is the bigger-than-life Hulk.
