Todd Palin, the husband of Sarah Palin, was reportedly in intensive care today after he was involved in what’s being described as a serious crash involving a snow vehicle, NBC News reports, with the incident prompting Sarah Palin to cancel a planned appearance at a Donald Trump campaign stop in Florida.

The Trump campaign issued a statement saying: “Todd Palin was in a bad snow machine accident last night and is currently hospitalized. Governor Palin is returning to Alaska to be with her husband and looks forward to being back on the campaign trail soon. Mr. Trump’s thoughts and prayers are with the Palin family at this time.”

Citing an unnamed source, NBC News reports: “The former Alaska governor will stop by a Trump town hall in Tampa but has canceled her other planned appearances with the GOP front-runner, whom she endorsed earlier this year. She has been in contact with medical personnel and will be traveling back to Alaska today.”

The cancellation of Palin’s scheduled appearance in The Villages, Fla., was announced minutes before the event’s scheduled start time, the report notes.
