Bill O’Reilly Says Donald Trump Has Only One Choice for Running Mate

Apr 22, 2016  •  Post A Comment

Fox News Channel mainstay Bill O’Reilly says Donald Trump has one choice for his running mate if he hopes to win the White House. Politico reports that O’Reilly singled out Gov. Susana Martinez of New Mexico.

O’Reilly put Martinez’s name out there during his show Thursday night. The Fox host said Martinez “cuts across all ethnic boundaries that he’s weak in, she’s very bright, she is a Republican conservative in a state that would go, you know, it’s not a lot of electoral votes, but if he can convince Gov. Martinez to be on the second, that will help him immensely.”

But Martinez may not be the most comfortable fit for Trump. Politico notes that Martinez “endorsed Florida Sen. Marco Rubio less than two weeks before the end of his campaign, suggesting in the same week that she would not commit to vote for Trump as the GOP nominee. She also supports comprehensive immigration reform, a position wildly at odds with Trump’s call to revoke birthright citizenship, deport millions of undocumented immigrants, and build a wall along the Mexican border.”

  1. A news organization that is Fair and Balanced should not be offering up names or supporting any individual candidate. Faux News Network fails again.

  2. Hey FreeRightsUSA:
Bill O’Reilly is a commentator – NOT a journalist. So he can say whatever he wants. Now, go back to your liberal cave and try to relax.

  3. The entire Newspaper Industry looks at your quote and finds it adorable.

  4. Problem with advice from Bill O’Reilly is that you never know if he’s doing you a favor, cutting your throat, or entertaining. In fact, as the political atmosphere suggests, almost no one right of center trusts anyone else right of center these days. Maybe there’s a reason. And oh yes, that’s how Donald Trump happened, wasn’t it?

  5. Slam FreeRights as much as you want but he’s mostly correct. Real journalism is supposed to remain neutral. It’s one of the ost basic unofficial laws of true journalism.
Having said that, a commentator is allowed to be as biased as they like in print, on screen, etc. O’Reilly hasn’t been a real journalist for decades.

  6. Trump running mate Kasich or Bloomberg.
