Report: Prince Had Opioid Medication On His Person When He Died

Apr 28, 2016  •  Post A Comment

“Authorities investigating the death of music legend Prince found prescription opioid medication on his person and in his Minnesota home, a law enforcement official told CNN on Wednesday,” CNN reports on its website.

If true, this information could end up also confirming a story we previously reported, from TMZ, that Prince almost died from an overdose of Percocet six days before he was found dead. Percocet contains the opioid medication oxycodone.

Dr. Drew Pinsky told CNN’s Don Lemon on Wednesday that a combination of an opioid with a Benzodiazephine medication, which is prescribed to help one sleep, can cause one to stop breathing and die.
