The story adds, “An insider told us Sarandon, who won an Oscar for the film, and her production team met with Discovery Group president Henry Schleiff on Tuesday to pitch a series about exonerating wrongfully accused inmates (though Sean Penn’s movie character was not wrongly accused).”
Most significantly for Sarandon, Schleiff is in charge of Investigation Discovery, which would be the Discovery network most likely to be interested in such a show.
