History today took the wraps off a slate of new programming the cable network says is its “most robust summer schedule ever.” Kicking off the summer lineup will be the event series “Roots,” premiering Monday, May 30.

Two other event series are also on tap — “Barbarians Rising,” which tracks the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, premiering Monday, June 6; and “Six,” about Navy SEAL Team Six, bowing Monday, July 18.

Documentary specials in the pipeline include “Alexander Hamilton” (working title), “DB Cooper” and “The Rise and Fall of El Chapo.”

New reality shows include “Big Easy Motors,” about unearthing classic cars in Bayou Country; and “Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour,” a father-and-son road series featuring heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne and his son Jack.
