CNN Is Denying It, But Sources Say Anderson Cooper Doesn’t Want Trump’s Former Campaign Manager on His Show

After reports surfaced that CNN faced a staff revolt over the hiring of former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, as we reported earlier this week, The New York Post reported Wednesday night that CNN fixture Anderson Cooper is unhappy about the Lewandowski hire.

A key issue, according to The Post, is a nondisclosure agreement that Lewandowski reportedly has with Trump. Sources told The Post that Cooper does not want Lewandowski to appear on his program.

One source is quoted in the report saying: “Anderson was concerned about Corey’s nondisclosure agreement with Trump. And whether CNN should point out he has one.”

The Post adds: “Lewandowski’s legally prevented from criticizing Trump, and CNN technically should announce that to viewers ahead of each appearance. But a CNN rep insisted Cooper’s chilly reception of Lewandowski was ‘not true,’ adding that on Tuesday night, ‘Corey was in fact booked on [Cooper’s show] “AC360” … but the panel was bumped due to breaking news out of Turkey.’”

The nondisclosure agreement has also reportedly cost Lewandowski a book deal with HarperCollins.

  1. So, CNN will keep its Trump booster, and have a Trump boosting department?

  2. The non-disclosure needs to be made public by CNN and should be announced each time he appears. The same should be for all CNN employees and guests who have direct ties or non-disclosures to Hillary’s campaign. Fox does this with guests, and announces when they appear if they have direct ties to either campaign. We all know where the networks stand, but we should also know where all of the people professing to be “unbiased” experts stand.
