A correspondent who has been a part of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” for four years is headed out. Comedy Central said today that Jessica Williams is leaving to focus on developing a new scripted series for the cable network, the AP reports.

Williams’ development deal was announced previously. She will write and star in the new show.

“The Los Angeles-bred comic, now 26, was the youngest on-air person at ‘The Daily Show’ when she joined,” the AP notes. “She worked for the last three years of host Jon Stewart’s reign and most of Trevor Noah’s first year.”
