For people who have been left out by the “Hamilton” phenomenon — either because ticket prices are too high or because they can’t get to New York to see it — a program about the Broadway smash is coming to the PBS series “Great Performances.”
The Boston Globe reports that a documentary about the production will air Oct. 17 on PBS. The report notes that the entire show is being filmed for the project, but Playbill says: “Use of the footage in its entirety or otherwise has yet to be determined,”
The production is being filmed by RadicalMedia, which recently did “What Happened, Miss Simone?,” a documentary focusing on singer Nina Simone that received an Oscar nomination.
