A member of the venerable rock band the Rolling Stones has become a father again at age 68. Billboard reports that Sally Wood, the wife of Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, gave birth Monday to twin girls.

The twins are the first children for the couple, who wed in 2012. Wood has four children from previous relationships.

Sally Wood, who is a theater producer, tweeted the news this week, writing: “Thank you all so much for the love. Can’t believe our babies are a day old already. They are wonderful.”

The family also released a statement saying: “Ronnie & Sally Wood are delighted to announce the birth of their twins Gracie Jane (6lb) & Alice Rose (5.7lb). The girls arrived on 30 May at 22:30 and all are doing brilliantly. The babies are perfect.”

Ronnie Wood has been a member of the Rolling Stones since 1975, joining the band after stints in the Faces and the Jeff Beck Group.
