Viacom’s head of sales and marketing is headed out the door, moving on to one of the hottest tech companies in Snapchat. The New York Post reports that Jeff Lucas, who has been with Viacom since 2006, will leave in July.
Snapchat wasn’t commenting, but a source said Lucas is expected to become chief operating officer for the company, based in Venice, Calif.
“Lucas is leaving Viacom in the midst of the upfront negotiations when marketers commit their cash to TV outlets for the coming year,” The Post notes. “Discussions are ongoing about how the company will replace Lucas, though one conversation involves his deputies sharing the role, sources said.”
