Forbes magazine has just published its 2016 Celebrity 100, listing the world’s highest-paid celebrities, and at the top of the list is Taylor Swift. The pop superstar brought in a record $170 million from June 2015 to June 2016, Forbes reports.
Among her achievements, she smashed the Rolling Stones’ record of $200 million in North American tour receipts, grossing a quarter-billion for her 1989 World Tour.
Swift came in well ahead of No. 2, which went to the pop group One Direction with $110 million. Author James Patterson placed third with $95 million, followed by a tie for No. 4 between Dr. Phil McGraw and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo at $88 million.
Comedian Kevin Hart had a good year, placing sixth on the list with $87.5 million — and becoming the first comedian to outearn Jerry Seinfeld, according to Forbes.
