Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak Has a Problem With One Rumored Feature of Apple’s Upcoming iPhone 7

Steve Wozniak, the tech innovator who co-founded Apple with Steve Jobs, offered some unsolicited advice to the company about its upcoming iPhone 7. BGR reports that Wozniak has an issue with the phone’s rumored lack of a headphone jack.

Wozniak is quoted in the story telling The Australian Financial Review: “If it’s missing the 3.5mm earphone jack, that’s going to tick off a lot of people.”

His comments echo concerns others have raised as rumors circulated that the device would rely exclusively on Bluetooth for audio.

“I would not use Bluetooth … I don’t like wireless,” Wozniak reportedly said. “I have cars where you can plug in the music, or go through Bluetooth, and Bluetooth just sounds so flat for the same music.”

Apple has not confirmed whether the new iPhone will include the old-fashioned 3.5mm headphone jack, but it has been widely rumored that it will be eliminated.

  1. And what are people who use a mobile credit card device that uses the same jack?

  2. Once again, the Woz is correct.
