The Queen of Pop is dead — long live the Queen. A changing of the guard took place at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, where Beyonce became the most decorated artist in the awards’ history.

Billboard reports that Beyonce’s six Moonman awards last night put her ahead of Madonna. Before last night’s ceremony, Madonna was No. 1 with 20 VMA to 16 for Beyonce.

Beyonce’s honors Sunday included video of the year for “Formation” and best female video for “Hold Up.”
