The fallout from a gas station bathroom incident in Rio continues for 12-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte, with sponsors Speedo and Ralph Lauren announcing today that they are severing ties with the swimmer.

The moves come after Lochte lied about being robbed at gunpoint during the Rio Games.

In announcing that it was ending its sponsorship of Lochte, Speedo said: We cannot condone behavior that is counter to the values this brand has long stood for.”

Ralph Lauren said in a statement that its sponsorship deal with Lochte was only for the Rio Olympics, and the contract would not be renewed.
