As new video surfaced of a takedown of a protester by a security guard on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” word circulated that the producers of the competition program are looking into ways to step up security, Variety reports.

The focal point of the developments has been Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, the target of a protest in which two men stormed the stage on Monday’s show.

“According to a source close to the show, producer BBC Worldwide is discussing placing increased security around Lochte,” Variety reports.

“The two men, Sam Sotoodeh, 59, and Barzeen Soroudi, 25, were tackled by private security personnel and detained at CBS Television City, where the show is shot,” Variety adds. “The Los Angeles Police Department later confirmed that Sotoodeh and Soroudi were arrested and charged with suspicion of trespassing. Neither Lochte nor anyone else on the show was injured.”

  1. Look closely – Len brought up his paddle initially and gave those protestors a 9. They were penalized a point for not trying to outrun security.
