Rolling Stone magazine co-founder and publisher Jann Wenner has his successor lined up and will soon step down, according to a report by The New York Post’s Page Six.

Gus Wenner, his 26-year-old son, has been anointed as his successor, the story reports, citing an unnamed source. According to the source, Gus Wenner will take over next year, as the publication marks its 50th anniversary.

“Jann, 70, has been busy grooming his son to take over, previously placing him at the head of the music mag’s online operations in 2013,” The Post reports. “Gus is head of digital operations for Wenner Media, which includes Us Weekly and Men’s Journal, and recently helped create a Wenner gaming site, Glixel.”
