ABC is moving forward with a new medical drama, giving a script commitment plus penalty to the project from CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Sanjay Gupta and longtime “Larry King Live” executive producer Wendy Walker, Deadline.com reports.

The project draws on Gupta’s and Walker’s experiences at CNN.

The project “reunites several auspices behind the network’s freshman drama series ‘Notorious’: executive producer Walker, whose relationship with criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos inspired the series, co-creator/executive producer Josh Berman, writer Sharon Lee Watson, ‘The Firm’ and Sony Pictures TV,” Deadline reports.
