CBS is developing a drama project from Ridley Scott, the filmmaker behind a varied string of acclaimed features including “Blade Runner,” “Alien,” “Thelma & Louise,” “Gladiator” and “The Martian.” In an exclusive, Variety reports that the new project is a legal drama with David Zucker and writer Brett Mahoney also on board.

“Titled ‘Mrs. V. Mr.,’ the project follows a prominent, larger-than-life L.A. defense attorney and the chief prosecutor for the DA’s office who are constantly at odds in the courtroom, but are a happily married couple who have to leave their rivalries at the door when it comes to raising their three willful kids,” Variety reports.

The report adds: “Mahoney, an exec producer on CBS’s ‘MacGyver’ and ‘Code Black,’ will pen the pilot script and serve as an exec producer with Scott and Zucker, who are producing via their Scott Free Productions. CBS Television Studios is also producing.”

You forgot to mention this is not the first time Ridley has worked with CBS. He and his brother Tony produced the recent FBI drama “Numbers”, that aired 6 seasons.
