The former co-chairman of NBC Entertainment has struck out on his own and is now a star producer.

The New York Post reports that Ben Silverman, who was co-chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios from 2007-2009, is a “popular partner for streaming video services.”

Silverman is behind Apple’s first reality TV show, “Planet of the Apps,” to be presented by Gwyneth Paltrow, which examines the world of app development. And Amazon Prime recently picked up “Lore,” based on the podcast of the same name, which is a horror series based on true paranormal events.

Silverman is working with “The Walking Dead’s” Gale Anne Hurd on “Lore,” which premieres next year.

He also executive produces “No Tomorrow,” which just premiered on the CW.
