Key Executive Headed Out at Lionsgate

One of the top executives at Lionsgate is exiting the studio, with the move coming on the heels of another high-profile departure.

Deadline.com reports that Bobby Cohen, co-president of production, is headed out the door. Cohen’s exit follows the departure in September of Rob Friedman as co-chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group.

Deadline notes that Peter Kang, Lionsgate’s other co-president of production, is likely to step up to assume a combined role.

“Cohen is segueing into a production deal at Lionsgate, we’re told,” Deadline notes. “That would return him to his roots — his producing credits before taking the co-prez gig with Gillian Bohrer in June 2015 include ‘Now You See Me’ and ‘Revolutionary Road.'”
