Scratch Anderson Cooper Off the List of Potential Kelly Ripa Co-Hosts — The CNN Fixture Just Re-Upped With the Cable News Channel

Anderson Cooper will be staying put at CNN — and won’t be wandering off to join Kelly Ripa as her co-host on her morning show “Live.” Cooper has just signed a new long-term deal with CNN and has taken himself out of the running for Ripa’s show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“He told his staff at CNN’s ‘Anderson Cooper 360′ last week,” THR reports. “He also, of course, let good friend Ripa know that he would not be joining her, though he will continue to fill in on the program. Cooper’s new CNN contract does still include a carve out for Cooper to appear on CBS News’ ’60 Minutes,’ where he does several pieces each season.”

  1. That’s too bad – I think Anderson would have made the best replacement for Michael. I always tune in when I know Anderson will be on with Kelly.

  2. If socialist would have been the pick for Kelly’s host I would have never watched that show again.

  3. Good. He’s too stuck up. Thinks he’s better than everybody ..,0

  4. I am very disappointed ? that Anderson Cooper will not be co hosting with Kelly. I think their on screen chemistry is amazing. This is the second time I am upset.

  5. I like Anderson Cooper but I think Kelly can find someone a lot better!
