The Woman Identified as ‘Nancy’ on the Lewd Trump Tape Is a Familiar TV Personality — and She Has Plenty to Say About That Tape

Oct 11, 2016  •  Post A Comment

Donald Trump talks about trying to sleep with a married woman near the beginning of the now-infamous “Access Hollywood” tape, referring to her as “Nancy,” and the show has identified her as longtime “Access” anchor Nancy O’Dell. Trump admits on the tape that he was unsuccessful in his attempt to seduce her.

O’Dell, now a co-anchor on “Entertainment Tonight,” has spoken out about the tape since it surfaced last Friday, saying women should not be objectified and suggesting that calling it “locker room talk,” as Trump has done, does not excuse it.

O’Dell issued a statement about the tape over the weekend, and addressed the topic again on Monday’s edition of “Entertainment Tonight.” You can watch that clip below.

In her statement released Saturday, O’Dell expressed disappointment at hearing “such objectification of women,” and added: “The conversation needs to change because no female, no person, should be the subject of such crass comments, whether or not cameras are rolling.”

On Monday’s show O’Dell noted that the release of the tape “has thrown me in the middle of the political arena of which I didn’t ask to be a part.”

O’Dell reiterated her position on the tape Monday, calling again for respect for everybody, and noting: “As a mom, I have to add that our kids, especially our young girls, need to know that their hard work, their achievement, their intelligence, their heart are most important, and those things will not go unnoticed.”

Here’s the clip of O’Dell on Monday’s “ET” …

  1. OK – I watched the clip only because she is gorgeous! Is the objectifying? Did she dress beautifully and work for her long (long) blond hair to be perfect so we wouldn’t notice? Didn’t she get her job for both her journalistic (giving the benefit of the doubt) skills as well as her on-camera appearance? The level of false outrage is ridiculous. The need to keep this story alive to obscure the email leaks from the Hillary campaign are so obvious that they are laughable. Trump took responsibility for his frat-boy mouth 11 years ago and apologised but his bad judgement about his words didn’t leave 4 Americans dead!

    • Completely agree!

    • Are you for real with this comment? It’s one thing to defend Trump’s “locker room talk” (that term is such bulls**t by the way), but now the actual woman he was talking about has been outed and you are basically saying she asked for it by looking good? I don’t know why I’m surprised, that is exactly the type of logic we should expect from a Trump defender.

  2. Trump is a predator , he stalked HC at the last debate trying to intimidate her. It didn,t work. GW Bush also deleted e-mails. How quickly we forget. He has a pattern of being disrespectful to females. What does he have to do, be caught in the act of assaulting someone like the guy from Standford?

  3. The last 8 years have been a disaster for our country. And HC will continue Obama’s failed policies. If any man says he has never said any equally reprehensible statements about some woman, sometime, he is a hypocritical liar. Trump just says things that are reprehensible, Hillary does them. I have no doubt she will be under indictment today if she wasn’t a favorite of Obama. And as a Quid Pro Quo, if she gets elected, it opens up a Supreme Court space for Obama. I would not discount the possibility.

  4. When did GW Bush delete emails from his non government home brew server Gwen?? Where the heck did THAT come from? Huff-Post? NBC? CNN? This is really interesting. All this took place LAST week and here it is Wednesday and it’s STILL being chewed on like a puppy with a favorite toy. Meanwhile, wikileaks just dumped another BUNCH of damning emails for Hillary, her campaign chair Podesta, the new head of the DNC, Donna Brazile etc…and with the exception of Fox News, you wouldn’t know it even happened. I didn’t think the media could ever be more blatant in their bias toward a candidate than Barak Obama. Then, THIS presidential campaign happened. It’s unbelievable.

  5. LOL…the “outrage” is hilarious as the poster said above…it only serves to help fan the flames that gets the one who shall not be named into the White House, As the narrative appears to be that someone who talks of assault (which has yet to be proven) is worse than electing someone who’s husband ACTUALLY committed adultery IN the White House. Then LIED to the American public (and a grand jury which led him to being impeached) about it which the one (who shall not be named) fully supported to the point of putting COMPLETE blame (publicly) on the women. Calling them (among other names) “the bimbo squad” while never once denouncing him (an actual predator) publicly nor coming to their defense like she is now with those who have accused Trump.

I mean as someone who doesn’t support him…the hypocrisy is unbelievable! Not only in the words coming out of her mouth but from those who continue to (laughably) defend and support her. It’s called a “double standard” which, not only applies here but also to the many other lies she’s told (see the link below). But hey,,,we’re not talking about Brian Williams here…right?
