ABC Tweaks Its Schedule — The News Is About ‘Quantico,’ But It May Be Bad News for Another Show

The ABC spy series “Quantico,” which is midway through its sophomore season and has been holding down the network’s Sunday 10 p.m. slot since September 2015, is moving to a new night.

The show moves to Mondays at 10 p.m. in January. The show’s writers broke the news on Twitter, writing: “We will see your faces on Monday nights at 10pm starting January 23rd. New night. More intense than ever. #quantico.”

The news broke on the heels of the thriller’s fall finale, which aired Sunday.

The move is not good news for another ABC series, although its fate appears to have already been sealed. ABC recently declined to extend the order for the ratings-challenged Hayley Atwell drama series “Conviction,” which now appears poised to be replaced by “Quantico.” “Conviction” has been airing Mondays at 10.

“Conviction” has aired seven episodes so far, and is expected to continue until all 13 episodes of the initial order make their way to broadcast. The show has been averaging a little more than 4 million viewers.

  1. I love Hayley Atwell, but I couldn’t watch her new show even though I tried. Perhaps ABC will bring back Agent Carter now?
