An autopsy report has revealed the cause of death for comedian Garry Shandling. Released more than nine months after his death, the report says Shandling died from pulmonary thrombosis, E! News reports.

“The report further specifies that a blood clot had traveled from his leg to his lungs,” the story notes.

At the time of Shandling’s death on March 24 at age 66, his doctors indicated that they believed he had died from a heart attack, although he did not have a history of heart problems.

Shandling “also had a combination of drugs in his system — Xanax and pain killers (the latter of which he was said to be taking following a dental procedure),” E! News notes.

Shandling was a beloved figure in show business, and made a mark on TV comedy with his groundbreaking “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show” and “The Larry Sanders Show.”
